Health & Safety Training

Health and safety is 4D’s number one priority and as part of our drive to ensure we’re as safe as we can be at all times, the 4D Passport scheme was introduced for all site staff in 2006.

A health and safety passport is issued to every member of staff who takes part in 4D’s Safety Health and Environment (SHE) training at our fully accredited training centre in Lewes, East Sussex. The passport course is mandatory for anyone working on site or visiting regularly and covers the basics of working safely on construction sites to avoid hazards and risks.  Each member of staff who successfully completes the training is issued with a photo ID ‘passport’ to carry with them when they are on site to show they have received appropriate training.

Since being introduced, over 4000 passports have been issued by the SHE team. The Lewes training centre also offers courses in all kinds of safety training such as cable avoidance, which helps site staff understand how to avoid striking service cables when working.
