There are many areas of historic interest in the South East and Southern Water and 4D realise the importance of making sure that proper care is taken to treat and preserve any artefacts found when working on site. While preparing for work at Northfleet Wastewater Treatment Works, archaeologists discovered flint arrows from the late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age which will significantly contribute to knowledge of that period in the area. The amount of flint recovered from the site was extremely large, so specialists on site made sure care was taken to recover the items in the best condition possible.
