Southern Water supplies fresh, quality drinking water to more than a million households and treats and recycles wastewater from nearly two million households across Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Each day they supply 552 million litres of drinking water from 95 water treatment works along more than 13,600 kilometres of water mains to customers’ taps. They also treat and recycle 1,400 million litres of wastewater every day at 373 treatment works after it is pumped through a sewer network of 21,500 kilometres.

Southern Water is owned by Greensands Investments Limited. Like all water companies, it is regulated by economic regulator Ofwat who monitor business to ensure good quality and efficient service is being provided at a fair price.
